after installing Bonanza for P3D v5

Using the new installer for V5, I still have flickering dash lights (Also with new installer for C172) if not set to 100% bright. I was assuming that was one of the bits adjusted for P3D v5. Was my assumption wrong?

Hello,

Ive not seen anyone else with V5 report this and its not something I can re-produce.

Can you please let me know what you are doing to get this affect to happen?

Do you have any other third party software installed that could be affecting things on your particular system.

I start up P3Dv5 and I start the default scenario, it was the F35, but as usual changed the default scenario to the Lockheed Maul. I change vehicle to the Bonanza (have updated with this months update) start it up and turn on instrument lights and at low end of brightness rheostat all instrument light are rhythmically flashing on and off, I have to roll the brightness up past 80% for them to burn bright with no flashing.

The 172 (with this months update) when loading from default scenario (the Lockheed Maul) what looks like an exterior roof mounted strobe is flashing in the interior. I just changed the default scenario back to the f35, shut the f35 down and loaded the 172. Again a strobe light is flashing in the interior. Loading from F35 to the Bonanza, I once again have flashing instrument lights, unless I turn the brightness up past 80% then the instrument lights are steady. The radio backlights are not effected.

I do have the AI lights Reborn app, but uninstalled it to test. Apparently it wasn't the cause. It's not going to make me get mad and dump the two models, it just makes me wonder. I mean the Bonanza dash light can be turned up and the internal strobe on the Cessna goes away after starting her up.

I run with HDR on and that "enhanced atmospherics"? or truesky off.

Hi Jim,

Do you have FSUPC installed? If so, please can you check that the "extend battery life" checkbox isn't ticked.

If not, please can you copy and paste the contents your aircraft.cfg file here so we can check for any changes made to lighting by the AI Lights Reborn app.

I do have extended battery checked, (for the 172, I discovered I had the beacon or strobe {L} turned on in the created default scenario of the Maul, so the 172 is solved) Here is the config contents for Bonanza (although I dislike such a post-- takes forever to scroll through lol. ;

Well, golly-bum. All of this problem was because I unknowingly, somehow hit that L key when I was setting up my default scenario with the Maul. I unchecked the extended battery box in FSUIPC and after opening the default scenario with the Maul, I turned on the battery hit the L key and turned the battery switch back off, then re-saved the scenario. Sure enough, no more problems with the 172 or the Bonanza! Sorry to trouble you guys with this, and thanks for spending time on my stupid mistake. It's attention like this to customers like me, that help to make the A2A crew so commendable. You are truly attentive to your customers!
