I have previously copied my A2A folder from Prepar3D v4 Add-ons to Prepar3D v5 Add-ons and this has given the chance to try my A2A aircraft in V5.
Now the dedicated Bonanza V5 installer has been released will this over write the existing files in the V5 Add-ons folder or should I delete A2A - SimObjects - Airplanes - A2A_Beechcraft_35_Bonanza folder.

Re: V5 Installation Question
Hello Glen,
best to remove the manually moved files, you can do this by simply deleting the A2A addons folder. Then run P3D and P3D will remove the directory from itself. Then install the v5 versions
thanks,

Re: V5 Installation Question
Hi,
I hope this isn´t considered thread hijacking but am having a related question:
I also used the Bo v4 with files copied to the v5 addon folder. Now I have the actual v5 installer and would like to delete the v4 version.
However, I´d like to keep the aircraft state, i.e. the engine and airframe hours and the present state of the plane.
Which files need to be backed up from the old folders and inserted into the v5 folder?
Thanks and best regards,
Matt

Re: V5 Installation Question
Hi Matt,
No need to back anything up, as the log.dat files which store the aircraft's state are stored in the "Documents\A2A" folder and this isn't touched by the install/uninstall process.
So, simply delete the "A2A" folder which you copied into "Documents\Prepar3D v5 Add-ons" and then launch P3Dv5 so it can refresh its add-ons.cfg files. Then run the new v5 installer for the Bo.
Thanks,
Nick

Re: V5 Installation Question
You’ll be glad to hear that this update caused ZERO problems for me, I’ve even seen the rain on the windshield for the first time.
Just completed a 4½ hour flight in Germany, (where the weather was really bad), and really enjoyed it. No problems, no crashes, just flying.
The first day without a crash, since I bought P3Dv5 a few weeks ago.
Well done to all from A2A, very much appreciated.

Re: V5 Installation Question
Thanks for for the PIREP Tony, and for the kind words too. Hopefully we have this one cracked, although P3Dv5 is a continually-changing platform so we can never be 100% sure.
Cheers,
Nick
