Bonanza stutters, Low FPS and CTD...

Post by RVOP3D »

Hi all,

Recently I purchased a new computer, and installed of course my complete A2A
collection. (T-6, Spitfire, J3, P-51, PA-24, C182 and my favorite, the Bonanza)
All aircraft are flying and operating perfectly, sadly is the Bonanza having constantly
micro stutters, in combination with a "lower"FPS. Where all other A2A aircraft are in
the high 60's, is only the Bonanza in the lower 30's. During one flight I even had a CTD.

All operating in P3D V4.5 HF3
- I removed (Uninstall) all files form the Bonanza, and installed a fresh installation. Nil help.
- I started with another A2A aircraft, and switched to the Bonanza. Nil help.
- I switched between GPS configurations (Default and Reality XP). Nil help.

Add-ons: ORBX, Active Sky, REX4 and UTLive.
Computer specs are: I9 9900K 4.7 GHz, RTX2070 Super, 32 GB Dual
Channel HyperX™ FURY DDR4 XMP at 2933 MHz, and 512GB SSD.

Hope someone can assist.
Thank you, Ramon

Hi Ramon,

I actually have pretty similar hardware to you and don't have any trouble getting 60 fps in the Bonanaza in most situations, provided that I'm realistic about the settings I use, particularly with Orbx scenery. However, I only run at 1920 x 1200 resolution and I don't use REX etc.

Please can you let us know what graphical settings you use in both P3D and for the Bonanza itself (e.g. do you have the mirrors enabled via the aircraft configurator)?

Thanks,
Nick

Hi Nick,

Thank you for the quick reply and useful tip, much appreciated.
I disabled the mirrors in the aircraft configurator, and this solved
the problem, I'm not using them anyway. Now again a joy to fly.

Thank you, and keep up the good work.
Ramon

Hi Ramon ,

Good to hear we found the reason for the fps hit. Thanks for posting back with the update and very happy to hear you're enjoying the Bonanza.

All the best,
