No oil in P3Dv5

Post by Ricamato »

I copied the A2A folder to the Prepar3dv5 Addons folder but when I try to start the plane the propeller seizes and I have no oil left and the hanger shows a fuel leak I cannot fix. I always check the hanger and gas and oil before I fly and all was fine. It’s happened 4 times in a row.
Windshield.dll was removed.

Any suggestions?

Hi Mike and welcome!

Does the Bonanza still work okay if you load it in P3Dv4?

Thanks,

Thanks! You solved it.

The Bonanza was fine in v4 this morning. So when you asked me if it was working in v4, I went to check again when I noticed the “run as administrator” badge on v4, but not v5. I then ran v5 as administrator and now all is well. Your aircraft is perfect again!

I should have realized.

Thanks for the quick reply!

You're welcome Mike and good to hear you're now able to fly the Bonanza in v5. :) Although it's not 'officially supported' yet, if you notice any more issues, please let us know.

So far the known ones are:
  • Windshield.dll needs reworking as you know.
  • Gauge glass reflections are a bit too prominent.
  • Effects files such as as exterior lights need some attention.
  • Glass has some transparency issues when "enhanced atmospherics (beta)" option is selected.
Cheers,

Hi,

Same issue here. P3Dv5 run as administrator...
Any idea?
EDIT: I was finally able to start by changing my model: the N288Q.
Then I tried again the "faulty" model (Jeppesen N1733G) which this time started normally.
Curious...
Thank you and Regards,

Richard.

Hello Igor,

If you're seeing issues in P3Dv5, please can you start a new thread and let us know exactly which method you've used to move your A2A add-ons from P3Dv4 to v5. This includes details of any third party repaints etc. which you have installed and any other add-ons in use in the sim.

Thanks,
Nick
