Hi Lewis and Nick,
I was wondering if the Bonanza is compatible with https://www.navstax.com/ avionics ?

Re: NavStax Avionics
Hi Simicro,
I'm not familiar with this product, but there's definitely no 3-D support for it within the Bonanza's MDL files. I guess it's possible it may work as a 2-D popup, but this hasn't been tested.
Sorry - this might not be the answer you were hoping for, but there's a limit to the number of third party products which can be supported.
Thanks,
Nick

Re: NavStax Avionics
Hi Nick,
Sure I understand the current limit. If I understand correctly there are 2 third party avionics makers supported: Flight1 and Reality XP.
As you can imagine, there is interest only if there is 3D support.
Can I (we) hope for it in a future update of the Bonanza?

Re: NavStax Avionics
Hi, just for curiosity - what feature is missing in the current Bonanza radio stack (which in addition comes for free) in compare with NavStax?
To be honest, I haven't seen any stack done better than default one that comes with this plane, so it just to understand...

Re: NavStax Avionics
AFAIK there is no revolution in functionalities with NavStax.
I just like the more modern look of the avionics and the red digits (instead of orange for the default Bo avionics).

Re: NavStax Avionics
Hmm, this is bit strange. All digits on my Bonanza are red.
Are you referring to "default P3D radio stack" - like in Maule of Baron or "A2A Bonanza radio stack"? First one is indeed orange one, but it has nothing to do with A2A stack which is all custom made and looks just great. It has nothing to do with default radios.
PS. Indeed, Navstax uses couple of new, more modern components like audio panel or transponder.

I'm refering to A2A Bonanza radio stack.

Re: NavStax Avionics
It's unlikely I'm afraid Simicro. We have to balance the development and testing time for something like this with customer demand for it.Simicro wrote:Can I (we) hope for it in a future update of the Bonanza?
What's more, the Bonanza has its own custom avionics features thanks to the talented Michal Krawczyk. As you probably know, the 'Silver Crown Plus' avionics are simulated in the A2A Cessnas, but the decision was taken to install the slightly older generation of Bendix King radio stack in the Bonanza.
Thanks,
Nick
Re: NavStax Avionics
I understand Nick.
Yes I like the 'Silver Crown Plus' in the A2A Cessnas and wish they were available for the Bonanza.
But I admit that the current radio stack is quite well done and consistent with the rest of the cockpit.

Re: NavStax Avionics
I had never heard of Navstax until I recently purchased the Milviz PA30 Twin Comanche, and was trying to configure the navigation options. As I do not like to fly GPS I was interested in a Com/Vor/ADF stack, and assumed there would be one default. The default "free radio" option was 2D and not very high resolution graphics. I decided to purchase the Navstax for $24.99. Looks great and works great - but so do the COM/VOR/ADF radios on the A2A Cherokee, Comanche and VBonanza that are provided at no additional cost. I am not sure I can tell the difference in appearance or functionality.
Re: NavStax Avionics
In appearance, at least for the Bonanza, there is a difference.
