What is some typical rpm settings that everyone uses on the Bonanza with either the IO-520 or IO-550?

Just bare in mind I am a very boring sim pilot, I just use that because its there and it works. I know that you tend to like to experiment a little more, so maybe just use whats included as a base and experiment from that base line. 8) I am sure you would be able to squeeze a little more out of the standard with some experimentation and favourable weather etc.

cheers,
Lewis

I use full throttle 2500 and 50 degrees ROP and that gets me great results

In a baron that I used to fly with 550s, we would climb at 25 squared, and then cruise at 2400 RPM and full throttle (Or 24 inches max if low level). Typically would lean the airplane to approx 16GPH and it seemed really happy there. This isn't a baron obviously, but would apply essentially the same for the bonanza with a 550.
