Window Tint Option
Just curious to know if we may see the option to add a window tint to the rear windows as is commonly done on the Bonanza?

Re: Window Tint Option
Hello caribpilot,
From the V35B pictures I've seen, the windows are generally all equally tinted. Our version includes tinted windows too, but the appearance of these in P3Dv4 will also be influenced by the dynamic lighting in the sim, and also by any shader mods, etc.
If you wish to deepen the level of the tint, you can edit the "A2AMat_Bonanza_Glass_Ext.lua" file which can be found in "Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\A2A\Scripts" with something like Notepad.
For example, these setting work pretty well in my P3Dv4 installation for a deeper tint:
local colorTintRed = 0.00 * glassTint
local colorTintGreen = 0.55 * glassTint
local colorTintBlue = 0.45 * glassTint
Thanks,
Nick

Re: Window Tint Option
Thanks, I will give this a try. Does this also work the same way in FSX SE?Nick - A2A wrote: ↑01 Jan 2020, 10:46 Hello caribpilot,

Re: Window Tint Option
Yes, the same principal should work in FSX too.

Re: Window Tint Option
Apologies - I believe it's actually only P3Dv4 which has the Lua scripts to control the glass tint. In FSX the tint colour is determined by the glass textures.

Nick

Re: Window Tint Option
Sorry for bringing this up again. But has anyone tried to apply a black tint to the windows in P3Dv5? I tried the suggested method but it doesn't seem to work.
