Warm up distance flight
Warm up distance flight
What would be a good warm up flight before I depart on my around the world flight on October 22 2019
Re: Warm up distance flight
I agree with what bobsk8 said, plus I'd take her up to about 5,000+ feet AGL and practice stalls and slow flight. Find out your gear and flaps down stall speed, then practice simulated final approach at a slight higher speed. We were planning a MP flight into a remote, short field in Atlanta, Idaho (55H), and I practiced until I could confidently trim for my Bonanza for a 70 knot gear and flap down glide speed. Worked like a champ. Oh yeah - watch this video when you get the chance: "With this baby we can go anywhere we want to!" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ihee35QrWtk.
I believe that the Bonanza V-tail is the Spitfire of the GA aircraft world.

Re: Warm up distance flight
Hi awash,
sounds interesting to perform a flight around the world in a "small" Bonanza. I only made it in an A319 and in a CRJ900. What is your flightplan looking like or did you not yet plan in detail?
I wish we would have had this link before our MP flight through Costa Rica on last weekend. Could have saved some crashes in the narrow valley when too late trying to get over the high mountains.
Cheers

Interesting route, however, I'm just wondering why you are skipping an interesting area, at least from a scenical viewpoint with respect to available scenery add-ons, which is Central Europe.awash2002 wrote: ↑14 Oct 2019, 18:23 Here is the airports that I will stop at

Did you think about that when you planned your tour?
Kind regards,
