GTN transponder

Post by sean24707 »

Not really sure if this is a technical issue or if it is supposed to be this way. I noticed when running the GTN 750 on top and 650 underneath it, the transponder is linked to the 650 below. I changed my transponder code on the 750 and heard atc saying I was squawking 1200 instead of the code they gave me. This isn't really a deal breaker issue but was wondering if there is a way to make the transponder be linked to the 750 on top instead of the 650? Any answers will help. Thank you.

Hello and welcome to the A2A forums.

So that we're better able to help, please can you let us know which GTN add-ons you're using (RealityXP or Flight1) and which host sim (FSX or P3Dv4)?

Thanks,
Nick

P3D V4 and Flight1 GTN 750 and GTN 650. I wasn't aware that Reality XP had one for the 750 and 650. It's weird because I just did a flight and the transponder for the 750 on top seemed to control the transponder code for both the gps' and the one for Shift + 6 I believe the key is to open it.

Is there a setting in the Flt 1 GTN setup to make one the primary or for it to mirror onto both? I use the RXP one, love it.

Sorry for the delayed response to this one guys. Yes, I'm not able to test with the Flight1 GTN right now, but it may be worth checking to see if there's an option to specify if the transponder is active in the configuration tool. If I recall correctly this option exists in the RXP version, but I'm not so familiar with the F1 products.

Thanks,
Nick

Did check in the F1 config tool (V2.10), there is no option to specify this. Also wondering how this works internaly in FS, because there is only one transponder specified in
the aircraft.cfg under [radios]
