Graphical fuel level in tip tanks?
Graphical fuel level in tip tanks?
Just wondering, because I've seen several Beech aircraft out there with the same 'type' of tip tanks our Bonanza has, with the exception of a rectangular cutout on the inboard side of the tank that allows the fuel inside to be at least mostly visible. Instead of a convex mirror on each tank for checking gear position, how difficult / resource intensive would it be to have such a graphical indication of the approximate fuel level rendered in each tip tank? Was this idea ever considered and eschewed in favor of the gauges on the instrument panel?

Re: Graphical fuel level in tip tanks?
Scav,
As far as I'm aware, modelling 'sight strips' on the tip tanks wasn't ever part of the plan. The tip tanks mirrors were added because they make effective use of the dynamic reflection capabilities of P3Dv4.
Thanks,
Nick

Nick,
Sounds good; I had a feeling dynamic reflections were the big push there. Thanks for the reply.
