This aircraft was proposed as a repaint quite a long time ago. I was surprised no-one took it on. Now I know why! I've come up with what I consider to be the best compromise.

Thanks mate. Basically, because every photo of it on the web showed the main colour as very dark blue through to pale grey. Even now someone is thinking; it's too light/dark. Hence the compromise.

It's quite possible Ryan although the only other scheme I've seen it in was the old school, pre-history paint. Having said that: 'Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn'

EDIT:
Ah! I see what you mean You're referring to the grey picture. I think that was yet another trick of the light. Would you go to the trouble/expense of rubbing down, prepping, masking the bronze/gold to replace it with grey?
