I don't regularity fly planes with tip tanks.
Is the idea to pump the tips into the mains so to keep the mains out of the yellow arc?

Re: Tip Tank procedures?
It's good practice to operate both pumps simultaneously to maintain symmetrical wing tip tank fuel loading. So start the pumps, for example, when both left and right tanks are 1/2 full.

it's been quite some time since I flew a V35 or F33 but somewhere in the mist I seem to remember you could feed either main from either tip tank. That is you could feed the left main from the right tip tank or the right main from the left tip. Or maybe I'm confused once again. Like I said it's been quite some time

Why do we need to wait after both left and right tanks are 1/2 full? So far on every flight i just turn both tip pumps on even before the engine is started, that way the tips consume first and i just keep switching from left to right every 1/4 to maintain balance. After both tips are empty i turn their pumps off.
So far it works great. Im doing it wrong?

Well, fuel will over flow if their respective main wing tank is full.

Ohhh i see. I wasn't aware of that.
Is that simulated?
The airplane is amazing btw. Congratulations.

Yes, the fuel will overflow (though we don't have animated fuel coming out the bottom of the wings since you couldn't see it).

Do we have different performance with and without tip tanks? - is it simulated?
