Connie freeze on load. P3D v. 4.5

Post by freqimann »

bought B-17 yesterday. works flawlessly. bought both this and the comanche, they crash at various times. connie crashes instantly after clicking "ok" to fly. changing the v2 .dll allowed me to load in, this is the closest i've been to it working. comanche will load, i will hear battery whirr for about 3 seconds, then it crashes. renaming .dlls did nothing. unsure of problems are related.

i've tried reinstalling planes, deleting the log files (all of them, even for FSX), and doing a fresh install of P3D. nothing has worked.

-update (12/26/20): updated windows, ran "sfc /scannow" to check for windows errors. graphic drivers were up to date. did a clean install, anyway.

i think this is an error report for the connie:

Hello,

can you please let me know you are running P3D as admin (right click select run as admin)

can you please let us know what third party software you use additional to the base platform

can you please let us know how you load into the sim, what the default flight is etc?

thanks,

yes, running as admin.

clean install, no other third party software. just connie, b-17, and comanche from A2A.

Hello freqimann - apologies for the delayed response.

Please can you try reverting your P3Dv4 installation back to its default settings by deleting the Prepar3D.cfg file so that the sim generates a new copy the next it's launched.

If this doesn't help, please can you let us know what sort of audio playback device you're using?

Thanks,
Nick

You're welcome and good to hear you're back in business. Yes, trying to track down the cause of CTDs can sometime be a real battle with such a host of hardware configs, settings and other add-ons to consider. In your case, maybe it was a combination of settings just pushing your system a little too hard.

All the best,
