Missing 2D panels

Post by blazer05 »

I reinstalled my A2A P3Dv4 products last night and tried to begin the process of learning the L-049.

I was unable to get the 2d panels to show up (Shift-2, etc.) - none of them showed up.

First confession - I did not uninstall as suggested (I misread the post - too big of a hurry) before beginning the new install. So this could be the issue. All I did was remove the suggested A2A folder.

Second part of what could be wrong - I do use Chase Plane and had assigned Shift (NumPad) 2 to one of my outside views. No other Shift + number was used. So I cannot see how it would impact Shift - 3 and so forth.

So tonight I will uninstall the A2A products following the suggestions in the A2A post without making assumptions of what you suggest since I screwed that up last night.

Any help would be appreciated if the above uninstall and reinstall does not solve the problem.

Thanks,
Franklin Duncan

OK, refined my search and found a couple of things that might work, but I am not clear where to find them.

First - where do I find the control mappings that could be affecting the 2d panels?
Would that be in the P3d setup?

Second - where do I adjust the transparency of the panels?

Thanks in advance,
Franklin Duncan

Hi.
I dont have P3D but in FSX it is under controls look for :-
panel Window 1 (dispply/hde) on left side and on the right side the control should be shift+1
panel Window 2 (dispply/hde) on left side and on the right side the control should be shift+2
excetra excetra.

Thanks Alan - CXA911 here - any ideas about where to set the transparency on the panels?

Hi Franklin.
The transparency is set to 100% full dencity on mine and is at the top right corner + for more dense - for less dense these are just to the left of the closure cross.
shift+2 = crew report
shift+3 = controls
shift+4 = fuel and payload
shift+6 = radio
shift+7 = maint hangar
shift+9 = captains log

AFK can be accessed via the controls , but we cannot use that function on vatsim with CXA as it pauses the sim on emergencys if you are away from keyboard.
AFK transparency can be adjusted like the rest above.
I fly this aircraft with full career mode on , even on vatsim , and you can get emergencys with it on , as well as the pilot assessed on his flying .

OK that worked - Thanks Alan.

A little trial and error - but it appears that you have to use the Shift - # to make the 2D panels appear.

I tried Alt - # without success.

Am I wrong?

Hi Franklin.
Below is a list of default commands and keys from google for P3D which is the same as FSX.
COMMAND------------------------ CONTROL
Panel window 1 (display/hide) Shift + 1
Panel window 2 (display/hide) Shift + 2
Panel window 3 (display/hide) Shift + 3
Panel window 4 (display/hide) Shift + 4
Panel window 5 (display/hide) Shift + 5
Panel window 6 (display/hide) Shift + 6
Panel window 7 (display/hide) Shift + 7
Panel window 8 (display/hide) Shift + 8
Panel window 9 (display/hide) Shift + 9

for these 2d windows to show or hide has always been shift+the required number , do you have the A2A C172 if so the connie and C172 use the same technique to open and close the 2d panels.
