Engines Will Not Start

Post by Tundrabum »

Unable to start engines, even via autostart. Fuel ok, I have tried both with the engineer doing the setup and manual. Followed the checklists closely, engine turns but doesn't fire. Even uninstalled and reloaded the program, no help. Using Win 10 and FSX Steam.

Assistance appreciated,

Hi.
Did you put the master ignition on or mags to both on the overhead panel , also look at these basic training videos , to see if you missed out something .

Hi and welcome to the world of Accu-Sim. Did you check your settings in FSX? In the manual you'll find the correct settings. Also make sure you use the Shift + 4 menu for fuelling, not the default fuel and payload manager.
A2A have excellent support, so you should be in the air shortly.
Kind Regards
Tomas

Hello and welcome to the forums,

The community has you pretty much sorted. First things to check that you are using our payload manager to make sure all the fuel etc is loaded correctly and that the aircraft is fit to fly in the hangar. Also using our auto start under the shift + 3 menu.

thanks,
Lewis

Completely irrelevant for autostart.

Thanks guys for all the support, and especially Lewis, your mention of the hanger did it. I am a avid Comanche 250 pilot, and I should have known to look in the hanger. Somehow all 4 engines were in need of overhaul!?! Not sure what I did, but whatever, now freshly overhauled and all running great.

Hopefully this little episode will help someone else. Thanks again!

aha good to hear, always make sure your Captain of the ship sim is all ready for flying prior to powering up any engines or system, so easy to forget and get caught out by it though hehe. Happy flying in the virtual skies :)

thanks,

That one got me last night. I was pulling my hair out for a good half hour before i figured the engines need overhauling.

Me as well, but what confounds me is that the prior entry for the engines said "excellent condition."
That musta been one rough start.
