Winglights small visual bug

Post by addman »

I noticed, during a flight between ESGG and EGLL, last night that there is like a small shadowy square coming out of the winglights when turned on. I have no other add-ons or textures installed, all vanilla FSX.

Looks like a slight artifact on your specific system/setup as I'm not able to re-produce it at the moment in FSX or P3D.

thanks,

Yes, you have to zoom in a bit to see it.

I've had to force my nVidia driver to disable SLI for P3D because it causes havoc with lights/smoke, it causes them to flicker on and off constantly. As if somebody is flicking the switch on/off 10 times per second.

It frustrated the hell out of me for the past year or two, only figured it out the other day!

If you have 2 graphics cards, try setting p3d.exe to single only and it could clean up weirdness with the lights.

I can chime in as a P3D v3.4 user. I see the same thing. It appears to be an artifact of some kind. At night with C&D, you can see the visual bug on both wings and on the tail.
Cheers,
Randall
