For instrument flights you need to start looking at airport charts

LZIB - departure - Charts show options to JAN or NIT
https://vau.aero/navdb/chart/LZIB.pdf
Chart gives minimum climb requirement of 1000 fpm up to 2400 ft before proceeding.

Flying via SLC would require a flightplan of at least 13000 ft.
Fly via ZLA (further north) would only require climb to 8500 ft.
Then direct PW to LZTT landing 090, or direct PPD and do a procedure turn back onto the ILS 27.

skyvector flight plan link
https://skyvector.com/?ll=48.9576188271 ... PPD%20LZTT

LZTT - arrival -
https://vau.aero/navdb/chart/LZTT.pdf
Procedures are only for landing rwy 27.
Visual landing can be rwy 09

Trev, I flew twice my posted flight plan of LZIB-LZTT and the cruise was at 11,000 ft without problems with mountains. Please, can you re-elaborate the recommended flight plan based on Plan-G instead of Skyvector?

Is this a valid flight plan sequence? (Watch that LRO beacon is at the end instead of before GCXO)

GCFV Fuerteventura
GDV 112.9/[email protected]
GCXO Los Rodeos 302@54nm (ILS12/108.7/118)
LRO 116.2/[email protected]

Why is LRO after GCXO?
What runways are you taking off and landing from?
Have you looked at the airport charts and what are you plans for departure and landing?

Drawing some lines on a map are simply not enough to complete the exercise.

distance between them is 0.5nm, for the type of flying you're doing that's basically the same location

===> Just curious to find out, never mind.

What runways are you taking off and landing from?
===> Departure GCFV rwy19 - Arrival GCXO rwy30

Have you looked at the airport charts and what are you plans for departure and landing?
===> I have the Charts, looked on them and no info taken because Plan-G gave me:

GCFV FuerteVentura
GDV 112.9/[email protected]
LRO 116.2/[email protected]
GCXO Los Rodeos rwy30

Drawing some lines on a map are simply not enough to complete the exercise.
===> I want to learn about.
Thanks for more guidance.

I knew about after flying twice. I flew with both sequence, GCXO-LRO and LRO-GCXO. Found the sequence LRO-GCXO is what it should be. I learn from mistakes too (lol) even intentionally.

I wish to hear applauses after touchdown, heard only once on my entire Connie's history flights. I think I am not handling Flare properly. I wish to learn Fuel and Payload, probably is the trick to hear applauses (lol).
Cabin pressure table info confused so I set approximations based on FE actions from the past.

I am planning to fly again but landing on the opposite runway side which is rwy12 with ILS.

Pat I think you did an excellent job flying the Connie here. You used both DRMI and VOR needle to find Tenerife. That was very good progress on those skills. Your landing of course needs work but that will come with time.
I think it went much better than even 747 flight, don't you think?

I think 747-400 was more accurate in route and better Flare for touchdown. I started keeping on mind the Flare which I learned about couple of days ago via Youtube.com
I didn't know about Flare meaning that the plane has a descent rate just before touchdown. So, I don't nose down when I am very close to touchdown. I let the plane during Flare to descend by the weight and no power, throttle idling only.
Am I wrong?

Just another lesson Rod teaches :D ...when you get there.
And I don't mean his words, but it's also in the text too.

Rod Machado can wait for me. What is the secret to a good flare?
