hit reset on captains log by accident!

Post by Mantock »

Hey folks,

I just accidentally hit reset on the log on the coni, is there any way to get that back? I was at the gate and went to click and drag the 2d panel and accidentally hit the red 'reset' and the whole thing reset before my very eyes!!!

Hi Mantock,

Yep, there are backups of the log.dat files saved in "Documents\A2A\FSX\L049". Your best bet is to make a quick copy of this folder and then rename one of the older files by removing the .bak* extension so that it overwrites the main .dat file.

Thanks,

Hi Nick!

Thankyou for your help.

So L049log.dat is the file that the log is drawn from? So (dispite flying in P3D) I go to Documents/A2A/FSX/L049 and change an earlier 'L049log.dat.bak' file to 'L049.dat' file?

Regards,
-Peter

Btw, I always use shift +9 to open AND close the window to avoid accidentally pressing the reset button whilst trying to close the window.
