I get a lower fuel pressure on engine N°2

Post by gege21 »

Hello,

As the tittle say I get a lower fuel pressure on engine N°2 (although still on the green range) and this engine give more RPM (30/50 around) than the others three engines. The engines N°1,3,4 give the same values.

How I could rectify that to get the same values on the four engines ?

Cheers
Gerard

Accu-Sim engines each have a 'life of their own' so you will see differences from
one engine or system to another.

I see the inboard engines running hotter than the outboards andd #3 is hotter than #2 by
a bit. This was also seen in the B377 as the airflow to the inboard engines is somewhat
disturbed by the proximity to the fuselage, as I recall.

When starting, my #4 RPM is lower than the other 3 engines.

That's Accu-Sim at work. Don't be concerned if 'it is still in the green'.

Hello Paul thank you very much for your response...

You are right saying the inboard engines are less cooled than the outboard due to the closest position to the fuselage.

So Accusim do his job and its well replicated.

At first I was thinking something was going wrong on the airplane but its the Accusim feature.

And as you say, when all needles are sticking on the green range, no need to worry about.

Cheers

for me it's engine #4. It has lower front and rear oil pump pressure, higher fuel pressure, lower fuel flow, lower power delivery usually 4psi in cruise. Everything is in the green so meh...

In my Connie, as of now, all my engines are running great and the same. But in my B-17 my #1 engine has ALWAYS been a pain... gotta just love Accusim- through our own use and flying styles, combined with wear and random events, every single one of us is flying a totally unique aircraft. That is truly special!

Cheers!
