I'm finally back up and running after a PC meltdown shortly after the T-6 was released.
It's nice to have my sim back up and running smoothly after a long absence.
I first took the Connie for a few circuits without pax to get up to speed, and was thoroughly impressed.
Definitely not as stable as the 377 when hand flying, and oh so slippery. One must pay close attention to the speed and climb rate. I've been flying her fairly light, 46" / 2800 rpm has definitely not been necessary to get off the runway in a reasonable distance. You can really cover some ground in cruise, and takes some planning to slow down for a nice approach.
Congratulations Scott and crew, awesome job! A stunning recreation of a true classic.
One complaint though, I had a VIP and an NBC news crew on my first revenue flight!
REALLY, no pressure there, geez!
