Just installed and loaded her up. Gorgeous!! Absolutely GORGEOUS!!! My first flight will be from KLEW where Lufthansa Technik is rebuilding their L-1649A. Someday this beauty is gonna take flght and I'm gonna be right there.

I plan on taking it nice and slow with this beautiful old gal. Study up on her, take my time and do it right. Not taking to the wild blue until I'm quite comfortable with her. She deserves the best. Nice and slow. Although I'm just overflowing with anticipation of getting her in her element.

Patience my mistress. Patience.

Hm... I'm absolutely not an airliner or even multi engine guy... But the Connie is gorgeous! Only I'd need to get another two throttle quadrants to do this properly... hm...

I've been in the circuit with the Breitling Connie once, in Speyer, and stood next to the runway (where is parked the plane I flew in with) while it was landing right in front of me - absolutely gorgeous!
Tried to add a picture I took of that landing, but 'board attachment quota reached' - no idea what's up with that...

Bought. Downloading. Drooling. Then Flying.

This is the order of things when purchasing an A2A plane.

Oh - and the paintkit. THE PAINTKIT!!!!!

Thanks, guys!!

I used a single throttle during my testing almost exclusively. No problems whatsoever (using the Saitek X65F).

I did decide to try to set throttles individually recently - just so I could tweak BMEP settings (right now the engines very close as it is with throttles together). Using "Shift+8" brings up an Engine Selector and I could select an individual throttle (or more) that way.

Taxiing is another place split throttles can be handy. I did not find it a necessity for what I did, however, it is common during a turn on the ground to pull back the inside engine (of the turn) and use a little power on the outside engine to aid in turning (w/o stopping the inside wheel).

I've been flying her using a single throttle X52 set up. No problems at all.
