Altitude hold light

Post by rlaycock »

Hi
I just reinstalled the T6 and can't get the autopilot altitude hold light to come on
I remember it use to glow and flash if you needed to trim the aircraft now (although the hold is engaging and seams to be working) the light does not come on

Thanks in advance if you can help.
Best wishes
Bob

Hi Bob,

Please can you give a brief description of the sequence you're following when you activate the autopilots.

Also, could you let us know which host sim you're using?

Thanks,
Nick

Hi Nick
Thanks for the reply
The sim is P3dV4.5
I basically take off, enable the autopilot from the low right hand panel
Turn on the autopilot on, the part that controls direction (it lights up and works fine)
Trim the aircraft for close to level flight.
Hit the altitude hold button. (I remember this use to glow and flash if I needed to trim the aircraft)
However the light does not glow or flash.
The altitude hold is working, as it reports on, in tool tips (on and off if I need to trim) however the light is not working.
Thanks in advance if you can help.
Best wishes
Bob

Hi Nick
It is now working (I Think)
I quit P3dV4.5
Re loaded the T6
I noted on the button it said ALT (before it was a completely dark square with no textures).
Took of and activated the autopilot,
Selected the Altitude hold switch it again went black for a (few seconds) but then started to glow green with the ALT text showing.

Maybe a slight texture issue?

I will re-post if I have more issues.
Best wishes
Bob

Thanks for the update Bob - yes, hopefully just an isolated issue with a texture failing to load properly.

As you say, please drop us a line if the issue returns.

All the best,
Nick
