Changing Prepar3D Texan into FSX Steam Texan

Post by jeanco »

Hello everybody,
For several reasons I've quitted Prepar3D and installed FSX Steam instead. How can I change my Prepar3D Texan into an FSX Steam Texan without additional costs? The installer file accu-sim_T-6_P3d_academic.exe doesn't work properly for FSX Steam.

Hi,

Unfortunately, you would need the FSX version of the model, since both sims grew apart with the advance of the P3D versions.
You may PM Lewis for advice or wait his response here.

Just curious, what made you go for this change? I used to use older versions of FSX and now P3D - I have no experience of FSX Steam, hence the question.

Hello,

we don't offer any change over just the point of sale bundle, as you found out the products whilst looking the same are different as the platforms are different.

thanks,
