Throttle not closing

Post by freded »

I am finding that the T-6's throttle is not completely closing during approach and landing.
This results in inability to lose speed and height, causing overshoots.
My hardware is a CH stick and Saitek Pro rudder pedals. I have set them up in the usual way and have not had this problem with other aircraft.
Any suggestions?

Mark

Interesting that you mention this Mark, as I've noticed much the same thing, albeit only sporadically. However, I'm sure it's only since installing the T-6. I've not had any success in reproducing the behaviour in a systematic way but sometimes on loading the T-6, the throttle won't close when I close my joystick throttle (it remains about 20-25% open I'd guess).

Wondering if there's some new software processing of throttle inputs in the 6?

What happens if you fully open then close your hardware throttle a few times? Does this fix the issue? It seems to for me.

Cheers,
Nick

I've found the culprit.

The next time I started a Flight - sorry 'Scenario' in P3D - I noticed that, when I moved the CH throttle lever, the throttle in the cockpit was jumping from closed to full and back. It wouldn't allow an intermediate position.

I went to the CH Control Manager and re-calibrated the whole thing. Returned to the T-6 but found that the problem was still there.

So I opened Options-Controls-Calibrate Device and ran the calibration. This fixed it.

Hope this helps anyone else with a CH Products yoke.
Regards,

Mark
