Re: Engine cut out on negative G.. and smoke issue
So far no mixture problems for me with the latest update (03_30_16). This looks indeed promising

Hi Scott.
Disregard the pm i sent you yesterday , just done another test today, using just FSX/TRACK IR5 , and controls in FSUIPC , and your texan , all controls worked fine as did the engine , i think either my AVAST was turned on , or ASN gave faulty weather during yesterdays test , giving a false test result .
Today i was able to do loops , snap rolls both left and right , did not try inverted snap rolls , but engine did not cut out once , also on startup , i noticed the oil pressure came into the green , more in line with when controls are going through FSX .
What a jem of an aircraft .
Regards alan.

I just played with the idea, but heavy rain effect (water) can also kill the engine of the Texan or cause any kind of falterings? Are these things also simulated?

Hi Aker,
If you're experiencing a loss of power in rain, mist or cloud, it's almost certainly the result of carburettor icing. In this case, using the carb heat lever should restore power after a while.
Thanks,
Nick
