Rosie O' Grady's Flying Circus Skywriter REPAINT
Posted: 24 Oct 2016, 19:24
Here's a long awaited repaint I've been trying to get done little by little since the A2A Texan was born.
This plane has a special place in my heart because I use to hang out at the hangar where this plane and several others were based. I got to know one of the pilots of this plane (Robert Favreau) who flew it often over Orlando, Disney and Central Florida skywriting for Rosie O' Grady's Church Street Station. Bob Snow started Rosie O' Grady's way back in the 70's and also started the Flying Circus which he owned this T-6, an Beech Stagger Wing, a few Ag Cats, an Super Stearman, hot air balloons and lots of old vehicles. This place was the place to go back in the late 70's and 80's when I was in my 20's. I use to live about a mile from it so it just kind of grew on me throughout the years I guess. Some of Rosie's is still there but it's not anything like it use to be when it was in it's prime time back then. Anyway... most of the time you could find me at Orlando Executive airport KORL when not at home or at Rosie's.
This repaint I've created is in memory of Robert Favreau who was flying this T-6 and was involved in an Mid-Air collision with an Cessna 340 over Orlando. In reading the FAA Report's... concluded there were air-traffic controller errors which led to the two planes colliding.
