I stumbled upon this paint and found it quite intriguing. The Harvard is registered in San Clement, CAA.
Very few pics are available. The other challenge is to get the swirls on the spinner, which is a futile exercise, unless somebody has any ideas how to do this.
Alpha's need to be tweeked. A different paint is showing through.
I will have two versions. one with the swastika and the other one the swastika will be obscured, as can be seen on the right rudder.

Re: N57418 - German WW2 scheme
Looking very nice, Ebo! That is one of the several Texans that are part of the "Condor Squadron" based at Van Nuys. When you drive around the airport, there is an area on the north-side where the owners have their Texans parked in a line outside, and this has been one of them.
Unfortunately you won't be able to duplicate the spiral on the spinner, as the spinner is mirrored/shares the same split texture left/right. The closest you'd get is just having it striped (I know I tossed out a repaint after I got to the spinner and found that I wasn't going to be able to duplicate how it is painted in real life because of the way the spinner is mapped - unfortunately in my case, the spinner paint scheme was a make or break aspect of the rest of the scheme).
This particular aircraft has since been repainted, as of 2012, into a 31st FG-style scheme. It is an AT-6B (early Texan), but has been modified quite a bit - this is actually one of the few Texans flying today that if you fit the Accu-Sim hangar "Reno Racer" canopy option, it is fully accurate to the real aircraft, from the front windscreen to the rear windscreen.

Re: N57418 - German WW2 scheme
As I mentioned in my post, the aircraft is part of the "Condor Squadron" (a flying warbird group/foundation), which operates a number of T-6's/SNJ's out of Van Nuys, California, painted in both US and German markings for their airshow acts (the Luftwaffe-painted examples acting as the aggressors), as well as flying formations over parades and memorial services. N57418 used to be one of the German-painted examples, but now has been repainted as one of the 31st FG-painted American examples - there are still a few others painted in German markings to how N57418 used to look, such as N9525C and N7969C.

Thanks John for the informative links and the very interesting background to these birds.
May I use this info in my descriptions also when I upload the paint to Avsim?

Yep, no problem Ebo, and I'm very much looking forward to the repaint!
Here are some more photos from the Condor Squadron at Van Nuys taken in 2008 (one of the last years that N57418 was painted in the German markings): http://www.vg-photo.com/airshow/081126/csvn.html

Great!
I might even consider painting this one in its current paint.

It's really looking great, Ebo! Just make sure to flip the swastika on the right-side of the tail, so that it is going the right direction. http://www.aerialvisuals.ca/Airframe/Ga ... 005562.jpg
