This is actually a freeware T-6 that I found, and would love to see this paint on an A2A T-6.

I did that repaint, and I've had that repaint in the works (along with several more) for the A2A Texan as well, that have just been on the shelf waiting to be finished/uploaded - will try for this week. The real aircraft no longer has the "Sweet Dianne" name on the side, so I've since now left it off.

Sweet Diane is certainly one of the nicest looking Texans I've seen... I wonder why the name came off, did Mark Murphy sell her? Here she is in Massachusetts in 2012...

Looking forward to your version of her John! Would it be possible to get a copy with Sweet Diane still painted on, as that's the way I remember it?

Cheers,

I noticed the name came off as of 2013 (sometime before Oshkosh that year), but it has still been flown by the Murphy's at least as of 2015 (Dave Murphy in particular), as could be seen at Geneseo last year. Mark Murphy, in addition to flying his own P-51, has been doing a lot of flying for the Texas Flying Legends Museum over the past few years. I believe the Murphy's still have another matching SNJ, painted the same way, but with the number 843 on the cowl and marked as Miramar rather than Pensacola, that for a time was named "Lady Lois", but I think the name has since been removed from that one as well.

I can definitely provide two options with the repaint, one with and without the name applied (with the name applied, it certainly adds a bit more character).

Great info as alway John, and thanks, I really look forward to this! Never Miss is Mark's 51, right? I see that one almost every year, a beautiful aircraft.

Really appreciate the effort you put into checking this out. It was a fun quick repaint to do.

Off to my other project the early "RAF" style RNLAF/Dutch Navy repaints. Bit more "realistic"

I already have a almost finished paint for Harvard 309 OY-IIB. My chief painter is busy at the moment, but she is looking very good.
(sorry, but I'm switching to some kind of code language now) :D
