Were the spark plugs removed from those cylinders to be drained?

It feels like your favorte pair of trousers as soon as you sit in it. Small wander why it has been so popular in so many Airforces and with so many private owners.

It is a suffisticated, yet basic aircraft, with no luxury of automation at all. I would choose such an aircraft, a1965 Cherokee as well, over any modern "CNC-aircraft" like SR22 or the likes.
Basic aircraft demand every pilot to know their job in detail!

As far as what we can move backwards, it's always whatever we can do.

Here is the list of Warbird updates that came in, care of the T-6 (listed with the new core updater):
10/05/2015 - 3/27/2015 CHANGES:
WARBIRDS (Spitfire, P-51's, P-40):
New vibration and engine torque physics systems
New air and fuel delivery systems
Additional landing gear system feedback
Engine state is active / persistent between flights
Updated generator / alternator systems
Updated wind over airframe sound physics
Supercharger condition has additional effects on boost
Worn brakes tuned (pulling)
Fixed minor vertical speed indicator bug
CAT gauges don't require electricity

Its fantastic that you're still providing updates for products sold many years ago :D

I'd wondered if the Spitfire (etc.) would ever be able to do snap rolls?

That is a very substantial core update!

I have one more question regarding pulling through the prop...and you don't have to give the answer if this is something you would prefer people to find through experience... if you don't use the clean kit, is hydraulic lock then guaranteed, or is it instead triggered as a random event, or even a time-determned event?

It's not guaranteed as it's different on every engine. The Accu-Sim bird is generally OK unless you let it sit for more than a day.

Interesting.

Similarly, if I leave it for a few days unhangared but with the oil diluted, is that more likely to have bad stuff happen than having it hangared?
Or is it just that it takes the engine less time to warm up in cold weather and avoids needing to dilute the oil?

Thanks for this beatiful airplane.

My question is the inertial starter. Even choosing the inertial starting in pedal is not possible to first push to energize and after pressing to engage.

This is a modified inertia starter, that is a direct crank to the inertia wheel. The inertia wheel then cranks the engine.

So it's like an "indirect" starter. Try both, and you will see / feel the difference.

I saw and felt the difference, but only Knew the usual inertia system, for example P47. I saw some T-6's with this system as well.

In the smoke system exists on the panel the smoke arm button, but for activation, only through shift + 3?

Switching tanks at 10,500 ft accidently put the fuel control in off. Engine quit. Switched to right tank and pumped the manual fuel pump like mad. Finally got the engine going at 6500 ft. Landed at KMFR in 12 kt cross wind. Landed 3 point probably not the best idea but held the tail down and managed to stay on the runway. In instant replay saw a shower of sparks coming off the tail wheel.

But isn't the -AN1 a direct drive engine? That would put it like Oskar said earlier: two revolutions (four blades, five would add some overlap) would any given cylinder through all of its strokes?

You'd need a MkV or later for that, a the Mk's I and II had very poor roll rates.
