Error in LM Prepar3d PDF manual GPU specs

Post by Mazo »

The "System Requirements", page 56, are incorrect for P3DV3 for the video card. It appears that those are the requirements for FSX.

Copied from the LM "System Requirements" web page: http://prepar3d.com/system-requirements/

System Requirements v3

Recommended

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Computer Processor: Quad Core 3.0 GHz (Per Core) +

Computer Memory: 4 GB +

Hard Drive Space: 30 GB, with at least 10GB on C:\
(3 GB for the SDK) Solid State Drive (SSD) is strongly recommended

Graphics Card Video Memory: 4 GB + (GDDR5 or better)

Graphics Card Other: Full DirectX 11 Support

Other:
Administrator Rights (for installation)
MSXML 6
DirectX 11
1024×768 minimum screen resolution for primary display

P3DV3 will not run on DX9 - it must have a pretty hefty GPU to run smoothly. P3DV3 runs perfectly well on Win10-64 bit.

Well, those are - as usual - minimum specs from the manufacturer which usually are not absolute minimum specs. Believe it or not, apart from my pure Simulation Computer I'm running all A2A A/C on my Office Computer under Win10 on FSX, P3D V2.5 and P3D V3.2 with an old NVIDIA 570 GTX featuring only 1 GB without any problems... 8) .
