As this beautiful thing in the meantime seems to have been repainted to a stunning Navy blue livery, she used to fly quite often over my house last year, then doing airobatics over EDEH Herrenteich.Anawake wrote:Forgot to mention, that the upper picture is taken from a freeware Texan.
The pilot in the upper aircraft bears some resemblance to the pilot below. Did A2A take the looks of the upper pilot as a template for their own?
Besides. I took this picture on the airport fest (Flugplatzfest) in Mannheim EDFM a few years ago. I´d love to see this livery being made by one of our painters. I could try myself...though it cannot compete with pro´s work!
This South African Harvard is owned and sometimes even operated by a small association, or club if you like, who are restoring historic aircraft: Flugwerk Mannheim e.V.
Among the Harvard they have restored a J3C, Tiger Moth, and several others.
Needless to say that most of my T6-testing took place at this great little scenery done by Marcel Felde....

Yeah, right, I´ve heard she´s blue now. That withered South African colors had to be renewed anyways. Though I haven´t been able to see her recently. Well, maybe there´s a chance on this years airport fest.Erlk0enig wrote:Anawake wrote:As this beautiful thing in the meantime seems to have been repainted to a stunning Navy blue livery, she used to fly quite often over my house last year, then doing airobatics over EDEH Herrenteich.

Is it this livery?
She was pictured in the A2A manual on page 35 in these "old" colors, I found out!
Herrenteich by Aerosoft? Gave it a thought to get a copy of this scenery. Would fit splendid into the area next to Speyer and Mannheim by Flightport!
Marcel Felde gave proof of his skills already with his 4X DA-20-100 Katana. Though that aircraft had problems with weather plugins, even the FSX-stock real-weather. COMM went black, wiskhey compass froze, and the like.... didn´t manage to solve so I banned that beautiful, albeit not near A2A standards, from my hard drive... a real pitty...
I´m gonna hit the manual again, there are so many things I had forgotten about "The Mighty Texan".
Grüße aus Mannheim!
Re: Accu-Sim T-6 Texan "The Six" 15 minute VIDEO
Yes, that's the livery. Looking forward to seeing her again flying, if the weather permits.
Aerosoft Herrenteich is very cool for all of the A2A birds, the Mustang is quite a challenge to takeoff and lande there
Grüße aus Schwetzingen!

Haha, saugeil !!!
Had the Texan around Mannheim!
Love it!
Well, the I have to get my that Herrenteich Scenery. But for the Stang it's really a Short runway...around 400m?
Flew often to an Oldtimer Fly In over in Belgium on IVAO, and the 700m gras strip got me almost killed...bumbing down the RWY... With too little fuel burned from Mannheim to Schaffen-Diest..
Realy challenging and huge Fun!

(just go back and look at it one more time....)
I don't know what it is about this video. A2A videos are usually pretty great but this one is among the best imo.
Thanks again.

The Esquadrilha da Fumaca livery was a big surprise for me. Loved it!
I'm very anxious to fly this beauty.
Just a question: is it possible to remove the spinner?

A delivery glitch has my new computer in limbo and the laptop has been repurposed for video development and of course the T6 comes out lol. Bought it anyway and will enjoy getting to know her just as soon as I can. For the record though, from the sidelines, this really looks good. Amazing job A2A team.

I hope your new computer will arrive soon! The T-6 is a blast to fly!

Thanks Bruce, no pressure, right? It will be fun to get back to the paints as a break from the video and 3D stuff.
