I just upgraded to Win 10 from Win 7 and in doing so the GPS Garvin 430 I had on the panel of my beloved Comanche disappeared. (No, dunno why.) I went to the Com 250 configuration page, selected 430, but it told me I was not permitted to install this. I do remember some way I did it, but it was so long ago I don't remember.
Assistance?
Was there some choice also available from one of the "F...something" windows accessible from the active Comanche 'cabin'?

Re: Garvin 430 for Comanche 250
Please see my reply here for the "F...something" keys Archive. For the Garmin 430, please can you let us know if you're using a third-party model, or the stock gauge in FSX?
If it's the latter, then you can simply select it from the Shift 3 menu. However, note that this is Shift 3, not F3.
Cheers,
Nick

Re: Garvin 430 for Comanche 250
Gentlemen: - especially Nick -
ARRRRGH. Yes it is Shift 1-8, not 'F' something.
Advice - don't grow old...on the other hand the alternate option is worse.
When I do the Shift+3 selection I don't see the standard Garvin screen/system option...and I am looking for my old standard FSX stock gauge, that I believe is a 430, tho' once again I may be wrong. What seems to be available is something called GPS 253 (?) - I don't have it open to accurately refer to it here.
As a further frustration I have to figure out why I no longer have sound. Any sound. Not your problem.
Thanks for the patient response to an aging simmer.

All settled.
Actually noted that the GNS 400 was what was available and what I wanted (what I was used to). Got it and installed.
Sound. New driver and all's well.
And no, Idiot, it is patience not patients.
Ah well.
AS they say: life is like a roll of toilet paper: the closer you get to the end the faster the sheets come off...or days elapse.
Await the new Comanche for MS2020 - may give it a try.
I do appreciate the assistance, Nick.
