I have the A2A Comanche configured with the GTN 750, and I cant seem to get the CDI to work.
It doesnt work no matter how the CDI option is set on the GTN 750, whether GPS or VLOC.
I had a RNAV/GPS approach dialed in the GTN, and the CDI set to GPS, and the CDI just sits seemingly disabled. (see screenshot)
Does anyone know if I am doing something wrong or skipping a step?
Thanks.
Can't get the CDI to work.

Re: Can't get the CDI to work.
Hello Caleb,
The Comanche supports just the one GTN 750, so the CDI on the NAV2 gauge shown in your screenshot will be driven by the default NAV2 radio. The GTN 750 you've installed (NAV1) should be driving the CDI on the Century NSD-360A HSI which is directly below the attitude indicator. (The edge of it is just visible at bottom left of your picture.) You can find the manual for this instrument here.
Thanks,
Nick

Re: Can't get the CDI to work.
Thanks for the reply nick.
This makes sense, I did see the other instruments moving with the gtn.
But my next question is, is there a way to get vertical guidance from the gtn? Like in the case of a GPS instrument approach.
It seems as if the two instruments mentioned that do work with the gtn dont have vertical guidance, unless I am missing something.
Is the only way to get vertical guidence is by having a ILS tuned into NAV2?
Thanks

Re: Can't get the CDI to work.
Yes, it's possible to receive vertical guidance via the HSI on NAV1 Caleb, the glideslope pointer is on the left side of the instrument. If you're using a GPS approach rather than an ILS approach, bear in mind that you'll need to make sure it's something like an LPV approach which includes vertical guidance; not all GPS approaches do.
Your best bet is probably to give us a specific example of an approach you're trying to use.
Thanks,
Nick

Re: Can't get the CDI to work.
Ok I see now. I guess I just wasn't familiar with the HSI so didn't know what I was looking at.
And yes, I will make sure it is an LPV approach with vertical guidance.
Thanks for your help.
