V5 install

Post by eker »

A friend of mine purchased Comanche P3DV5 a few hours ago.

I am in contact with him by phone.

The aircraft does not show up in the sim.

Looks like he contacted support, as I got sms from him quoting support:

It is installed in a folder outside simulator (C. default path....).

What to do next?

Is it an exe file there?

Hello eker,

It'll probably be best if your friend can post here on the forums. I'm not sure where else he'd have contacted us for help?

However, in the meantime, it might be worth double-checking where he's looking for the Comanche in the P3Dv5 aircraft menu: it's listed under "A2A Piper".

Thanks,
Nick

OK.

I owned several versions of P3D, myself. Currently V4
and several A2A aircraft.
They have all been plug and play.

My friend has been away from sim for many years. He asked me for advice.
- Buy a decent gamer PC
Go for future and purchase P3DV5
And you need only one aircraft (my favorite) Piper Comanche.

I asked him to check top of vehicle menu for A2A , but he could not find it.

Thank you Nick - always quick response.

I am not sure what happened - but everything is OK now.

He is an old colleague of mine - aircraft mechanic. His last sim was more than ten years ago - fs2004.

I could literally hear his jaw hit the floor when I guided him through hangar - walkaround - and engine run up.
Now he he is flying. I kind of envy him to discover all the new stuff ..

I did 3 hour flight this morning with the Connie from Stavanger to Manchester. A great experience,
:D :D
