Non-numeric characters in radio displays

Post by AerialShorts »

I’m running P3D 4.4 and the Commanche is updated with the rain patch. I don’t have the issue in the Cherokee, Bonanza, or P-51 civ. Haven’t tried the other planes yet.

The radios all show non-numeric characters. Things like #,’,”,[,], etc, both in the illuminated character and the backgrounds.

Anyone seen this before? So far it seems to just be the Commanche. The GPS display is normal and everything else seems to work fine.

Hello,

This isn't an issue I recall seeing reported before; occasionally users have reported zeros in the avionics displays which seems to be related to interference by third-party software.

One thing you could try is deleting the .dat file which stores the persistent avionics frequencies in case it has become corrupted. This is located as follows:

Documents\A2A\FSX\Bonanza35\BonanzaV35log.dat.f

Note that the 'FSX' bit above is valid even for P3D users. If deleting this file doesn't help, please can you let us know any other utilities which are running in P3D.

Thanks,
Nick
