PA24-250 and PA28-180 not working in P3D

Post by [email protected] »

After not using P3D for a year I cannot get the Piper aircraft to work. both planes come up but cold and dark. the switches work but controls are not attached. I cannot get the hangar to open for either plane. Any ideas?

Hello,

can I ask which P3D version you are on and after not using the sim for a year, is this a brand new install of either P3D and/or the aircraft.

thanks,

Hello,

Have you done anything since it worked other than to start the simulation up?

Best bet is to start a new flight, not a saved one, and see how you get on. Making sure the default flight for the sim is using a default aircraft etc. And also on that note do other aircraft work ok, is the P3D platform working ok, as it sounds like simconnect P3D component may not be loading.

Lewis II did nothing else except start up the simulator. I just tried to open a new flight and it really seems as though the battery is dead and the controls will not work. All the switches are operable, (yoke won't move, rudder won't move, flaps won't move). All other aircraft are working fine.
I am not familiar with the "simconnect".
Thanks Again,
Dean

Lewis, Also, the hangar window comes up with the "red ribbon" while on the ground but I cannot access the hangar.

Hello,

can you confirm you cant access the hangar, if you click the red banner as noted on it you cannot access the hangar to repair your aircraft?

Ok, sounds like your P3D isn't working and simconnect isn't loading then. You'll need to repair your P3D installation, at least the sim connect part. You can do that via running the sim-connect here in your P3D root folder;

Try a reinstall at this point then of the Accu-sim aircraft if this does not work however I would recommend a repair or clean reinstall of P3D itself as simconnect not working a P3D component so not something I can troubleshoot much other than to suggest the repair of P3D itself I am afraid. Fingers crossed though whatever has happened to your system can be kicked into gear with just an aircraft reinstall, as our installer does have the potential to kick P3D into gear I just cannot say with any certainly in this regard.

Lewis,
I reinstalled P3D V5 and the A2A Cherokee 180 but the plane still won't operate. I can open up the hangar now however the 180 has alot of damage. I tried to do a complete overhaul but the button would not work and the repairs can't be made. I reset the SIM CONNECT again but nothing changed.

Hello,

can you please check you are running the sim as admin via right clicking and selecting run as admin.

Can you please let me know you have the latest version of the P3D software version you are running and that the Cherokee is the correct version for the P3D version you are running.

thanks,

I am running the latest download for P3D. I am running the 5/10/20 P3D update for Cherokee.
