Comanche Won't Take Off

Post by Richard_Dunn69 »

So I got the Comanche a while ago and it worked fine and loved it, but after I updated the plane using the auto updater, it won't take off now, doesn't get past 100 mph and won't go any farther then that. Tried using flaps up flaps down, full throttle pitch and mixture but still nothing, not sure what to do because I would love to fly it again but still no dice.

What engine revs are you getting on take off?

Flaps add drag on take off, and should only be used for short field take off at first or second stage at most.

Lastly, check your controller settings and make sure you have full range of motion and no conflicts if using multiple controllers.

Hope this helps,
Mike

Hello Richard,

how's the aircraft in the maint hanger, is it all fit for flight and ok?

Also have you tried a new flight from the main menu?

thanks,

Sorry for the wait, I'm taking off with the Prop pitch all the way in, tried flaps up and flaps one and two ways down, and I've checked the mapping and it seems to be fine, sorry again for the late response.

Yep, everything is fine, even re-did the cylinders since some were low on compression, I tried a new flight from the menu and still no dice. Sorry for the late response.

No problem. Are you getting full engine revs on take off?? Do you cycle the prop as part of your pre-take off checks?? In your game controller settings, have you checked for a full range of motion in all your controls??

Have you looked at this subject? viewtopic.php?f=23&t=47744

One other thing which is very important. Do not load a complex plane such as any A2A plane on sim start up. Always load a default plane at an airport with no addon scenery. Often, trying to load a complex plane straight away results in some very strange and unwanted behaviour.

Hope this helps,
Mike.
