Paint based on a Bonanza

Post by geopetlas »

While rummaging through some image files in my 'puter, I happened upon this pic of the Beech Bonanza.
(Would be nice if A2A were to make this plane. Just thinking out loud mind you)

Image

So I thought I would see how that paint scheme would work on the Comanche.

With tip tanks,

For the interior, I added a new main panel (no scratches or chips) with a wood grain center piece. Wood grained yoke. As my old bungee cord was fraying I
replaced it with a new one. Re-furbished the interior leather.

Any thoughts, suggestions, would be appreciated.

That looks really nice, George. With such a modern paint scheme, how does it look with the composite prop fitted?

Thanks, guys.

Hey, Mike, the composite prop has a black hub.

I can't believe I missed this before posting the pics yesterday, but I forgot to give the cowl latches a coat of paint. :o

All better now.

I'm going to go over everything one last time to make sure I haven't miss anything else and then I'll add a link for the repaint.

Very clean, light and wispy design. Looks great on the Comanche.

First of all, thanks to everyone for the kind words. :D

Yesterday I posted the links to both the exterior and interior zip files, but shortly after I had done so I noticed that the texture for the cigarette lighter was gone.
For whatever reason I had inadvertently over-painted the lighter in the vc2 file. :?

I also noticed a small glitch with the exterior paint and that I also forgot to include a thumbnail picture when I created the zip file.
(It was a very bad day)

I believe all issues are now corrected so here are the download links.

The exterior:

A better view of the interior.

Hope you enjoy these repaints.

Thank you, George. I'm downloading now and will check it out tonight. Another winner, I'm sure and worth the difficulties you mention.

Mike
