Re: A2A Introduces the Accu-Sim Piper Comanche 250
I've had the same experiences as Esa, with some pilots aware of shock cooling and others not. Shock cooling is obviously real, but since the jury is still out in terms of how much, I fly the same way as described, with small power reductions at a time during descent.

When the Comanche 250 comes out I'm going to do a clean install of FSX and only put 2 or 3 addon's back on my sim I figured out what is causing my flightsim to crash on me it's not your aircraft it's the fact that I overload the sim with every addon known to man

Question for you, Awash... Look in your FSX root directory for a file titled UIAUTOMATIONCORE.DLL, do you have it? If not, download the most recent version from MS and put it there, known issue that FSX requires that file present in the FSX directory.
Re: A2A Introduces the Accu-Sim Piper Comanche 250
So now A2A has put the Comanche up on the top of their Facebook page where Scott can admire it and the rest of us can drool. This is torture of the cruelest kind. Like waving a steak in front of a hungry dog. Just saying...

I'm reporting Scott Gentile to the UN for the use of cruel and unusual punishment! See how HE likes it!

For those interested in engine dynamics, read Kas Thomas' book "Fly the Engine". He has a differing view on "shock cooling".

John Deakin too, and I think he makes a convincing argument: http://www.avweb.com/news/pelican/182107-1.htmlRaptor05121 wrote:For those interested in engine dynamics, read Kas Thomas' book "Fly the Engine". He has a differing view on "shock cooling".
(and guess why I'm hot for a engine monitor - want to make such charts too, and see what happens with the engine depending on how I treat it)
Ordered that book, thanks for the pointer!

How about just the manual to download and read until such time as...

They torture us like that with every release, then put some kind of virus in it so we have to fly them regularly or start suffering withdrawals and other severe illnesses. Once you buy one, you can't live without them.Bruce Hamilton wrote:They torture us like that with every release, should be used to it by now...
