F1GTN & C182 P3Dv5

Post by FlyingPotter »

Hi
I am having problems with getting the F1GTN to work in your updated C182 (P3Dv5. I have used the Tools/C182 Aircraft configurator.exe previously to install the GTN750 Garmin but its saying that it will run on the next run of P3dv4. I notice that the Aircraft configurator exe dialogue box has in brackets (P3D4) written on the top and wonder if this is the problem? I have both installed the new A2A C182 and Garmin GTN750 for P3dv5 but still unable to use it in the sim.
Regards

Jon

Hi Jon,

The aircraft configurator for the 182 in the current P3Dv5 version should look like the image below. Does it appear to be different in your installation?

Hi Nick
Yes that dialogue box looks different and has in brackets P3dv4 at the top....I did uninstall and re install the new updated C182 but it doesnt have the new config .exe like the one you have shown me.

Perhaps I will try again and remove all and download again the latest version.

Ill report back if I am still struggling.

Thanks for message

Jon

Hi again Nick
Good news! I deleted folders that contained the config tool exe and all other files and re installed the p3dv5 again and now have it working once again.
I did consider that the original config tool was to blame and can only assume that I hadn't deleted that particular folder when uninstalling the A2A C182 v4

Thanks for pointing me in that direction.

Regards

Jon

Thanks for the update Jon. Yes, sounds like something may have been left over from the previous install. Good to hear the issue is resolved anyway.

All the best,
