Squawk Numbers Don't Match

Post by MeadowLion »

For some reason when I try to set the squawk the numbers displayed on the box are one higher than what i push. But they display correctly on the 'quick radios' window. I had to use the quick radio window because the lowest number I can select on the box in the stack is 1. Any idea how to fix this?

Example:
In 'Quick radios' window squawk is displayed as:
0321
In cockpit on the box squawk is displayed as:
1432

The options go 1-8 instead of 0-7 like they should.

Hello and welcome.

One thing you can try to resolve any issues with persistent avionics frequencies is to delete the "C182SLog.dat.f" file in "Documents\A2A\FSX\Cessna182". There's no need to delete any of the other *.dat files.

If this doesn't resolve the issue, please can you let us know if you're using any hardware to make the transponder button presses, and if so what sort? Also, please can you advise which host simulator you're using.

There are a few software add-ons which affect avionics frequencies too, so may be worth letting us know any other FSX/P3D utilities which are running.

Thanks,
Nick

Thanks! I love the 182 so far. Y’all did a great job. I still need to read up on the radios and Autopilot some more, but it all looks, sounds, and handles great.

I’m at work today so I’ll try deleting that file and trying again.

To answer other questions:

It was on FSX:Steam Edition

I don’t have any hardware connected to any of the radios or anything. All I have is a joystick, mouse and keyboard.

Other software running:
ActiveSky Next

I’ll let you know tonight if deleting that file helps. Thanks.

Okay, thanks for the info MeadowLion and the kind words too.

Yes, please let us know how you get on after deleting that dat.f file and we'll take it from there.
