Installation P3D v.5

Sorry to hear you're having some difficulty installing the 182. The aircraft is compatible with the latest version of Prepar3D v4, provided you've downloaded and launched the correct installer.

So that we can help resolve the issue, please can you confirm the full name of the installer *.exe file which you're running, and also the exact error message that you're seeing.

Please can you also let us know which version of Windows you're using.

Hi,
Installer's name C182_P3Dv.1-3_Professional.EXE; I´m using WIN10; P3D 4.5 is on HD D:\;
Installer works, doesn't have a box for P3D V 4.5 nd at the end it says: cant create a logfile; In P3D C182 seems to have no power in P3D, can't start the engine. I tried the configuration.exe but this gives me message: path not found.; Downloaded A2A_Update-02-04-19.EXE, seems not right due it's only for FSX.
Uninstall doesn't work due lack of logfile.

Hi Bernhard,

Thanks for the additional info. You're running the old installer for 32-bit versions 1-3 of Prepar3D. Instead, you'll need to download the "C182 P3Dv4 Professional.exe" installer for the 64-bit version of the sim which should also be available from your simMarket account.

If you're having difficulty uninstalling with the old installer, please check the information in this thread.

Okay, thanks Bernhard. For info, the new installer should automatically download and install updates provided your PC is connected to the internet, so no need to run " A2A_Update-02-04-19.EXE" which as you say is for older sim platforms.

Downloaded again the installer from Simmarket for V4, installation done, works now perfectly.
