Bacon light not working properly

Post by Fly182 »

Hi, I noticed my bacon light only works with strobes on! If i turn on bacon light just alone it doesn't work.
I have the last C182 update, Fsx sp2 (no SE). With DX10 preview on (with Steve Parson's free Dx10 fixer). Win10 with Nvidia card.
Thanks in advance

Hi,

In the DX10 scenery fixer interface, have you tried reconverting the effects since you installed the Skylane? If I recall correctly, you'll need to disable and re-enable the "DX10 compatible lights" setting.

Thanks,

Hi, it's the free version so there is jus an executable bat file. However in the package there is a folder for DX10 lights. I will try and come back

You might need the full version which is a lot more advanced for a proper dx10 experience including the ability to convert effects and stuff for use with the dx10 fixer software. Remember dx10 is a test mode so you will encounter issues when using it without the full fixer from Steve.

Yes, I've never tried the free version but you may have to manually run through the installation/setup process for it again.

Hi, i looked in the options, but it didn't help. I found thet bacon works well with taxi or landing lights on as well. So I can live with this issue, as normally taxi lights are on during taxi in daylight
Thanks for your prompt helping!

Ahh good stuff 8) 8) I found FSX with Steves full fixer product to be a cracking experience for FSX. The shadows alone for the cockpits adding so much immersion.

cheers,
