C182 issue - can't turn plane on or do maintenance

Post by m303803 »

Purchased C182 in Nov 2016
Loved it
Flood in cellar in Sep 2017, took out sim pit
Insurance process stinks - finally got new sim computer up and running in Feb 2019.
Have been trying since to get all planes and whatnot back to where it was.

I was able to salvage hard drive from computer and have had pretty good success with every drag/drop of SIMObjects to new P3D on new machine with exception of C182. When I get in plane it's cold and dark and I can't turn it on, so I suspect at some other time I let the battery die by accident. When I get to the maintenance screen no matter what I do I can't get past the "click to bypass" red banner to fix the battery.

I have tried a few times to email A2A for some resolution; could I just re-download my original purchase and re-install, for example. I'm not getting any reply so i'm hoping to get some help here. I tried to PM some of the admin folks based on a quick study of other posts but I don't have enough posts myself to do so yet. Running P3D V3.4.22.19868.

Any help would be appreciated, I don't want to have to buy again but I really like this product. Thanks!

Support is done supply via these forums. A2A does not have an email address published for support. What email address are you using and where did you find it?

As for re downloading your product. Go right ahead and log into the store and do so. If you have not migrated to the new store, please file the steps in this post.

Hello m303803 - welcome to the A2A forums.

Yes, we don't have an active support email address and instead assistance is provided via the forums, so posting here was exactly the right thing to do.

As regards your issue, it sounds like you just need to redownload the installer and use it to reinstall the product, rather than manually copying and pasting files. If you originally purchased direct from A2A and haven't migrated to our new store, please follow the steps in this pinned topic, as Oracle says.

Hope this helps - there's certainly no need to repurchase the 182. :)

Thanks,
Nick

happy to report I was able to re-download and install the C182 based on instructions in this thread.

The email address I was sending my inquires to was [email protected], but that was based on email correspondence from back in 2016 when it was the old store.

Happy to be flying a great airplane again...Thanks so much !
