Hey Guys,

After GTN 650 is enabled in the C182, the nav mode of 182's autopilot cannot be engaged when choosing NAV2 VOF as the nav source, is there any possible reason of such kind of problem?

Thanks in advance.

Hello tudanmeng - welcome to the forums.

In the A2A Cessnas, the NAV source for the KAP 140 autopilot is the CDI driven by the NAV1 radio (or an integrated GPS the case of a combined NAV/GPS installation). By default, It's not possible to select the course guidance being used by the autopilot to the NAV2 radio instead.

In your screenshot, the GTN is in VLOC mode but NAV1 apparently isn't tuned to a valid source, so selecting NAV mode on the autopilot is inhibited.

Not sure if it's possible to use *.cfg file edits to allow coupling of the autopilot with NAV2, but in the A2A 182 the VOR2 gauge doesn't have a glideslipe needle so it's probably not a good idea anyway.

Cheers,
Nick
