control lock not persistant

Post by mike4370 »

I noticed that my control lock is not installed upon starting a flight even though I install it when i leave the airplane. On the 172 and the cherokee, it does stay installed like it's supposed to. It's not a deal breaker but I would like to have it work properly.

Who wouldn't  Just push the control column forward ... Most probably it then engages.

I know you have to push the yoke forward to install it. Im saying that when i start a flight, before i even do anything, the control lock is not installed even though i installed it when i last left the plane.

There's an option in P3D v2 in General settings to allow saving panel states, it's called "Panel Serialization". This might help assuming you're using P3D v2..

Same issue here in P3DV2.5.

C&D on the shift+3 screen used to include the control lock being inserted. This has not happened for the last couple of weeks - don't know exactly when it started. If the yoke is pushed forward either as C&D is clicked or after, the control lock slips into place automatically. However, when P3D is restarted and the C182 is selected, everything is in the C&D stage except that the control lock pin is not in place. If the yoke is pushed forward, the pin then goes into place.

I did a flight in the C172 today and C&D has the control lock working as designed.

Interesting.

Hope this sheds some light on the problem.

I'm noticing this, too, as described. The lock isn't being inserted properly when the "persistence state" is configured during aircraft loading. When I push the yoke forward immediately after loading the aircraft, the lock then inserts by itself.

Exactly the same here, after moving to P3D 2.5.

I remember this bug being in the 172 after one of its first updates, then it was fixed, now it looks like it's back again.
