GPS addon integration question

Post by Heronjr »

Hi,

Before the C182, I purchased Flight1 GTN750, so it was my natural GPS choice to fly the C182: The pleasure of using both new products at the same time and learning the new GPS technology.

In the C172 case, I use the RealityXP GNS530 which fitted perfectly in the 172 VC panel. But the GTN750 is not fitting in the C182 VC panel, and I use it as 2D.

Is that right or am I missing something?

Regards,

Hello,

Have you run the config program to fit the GPS options?

The Manual is under your start menu >> all programs >> A2A Simulations

thanks,

Hi Lewis,

You mean A2aC182 Aircraft Configurator.exe? Yes I did, and marked the Flight1 option which changes the color to white when clicked, correct?

I will try first to default the aircraft and configure it back to the GTN and see what happens. I'm reading about this method in the forum to remedy some integration issues.

When you switch to the F1 GTN mode these options are then available when you switch between the different options via the shift+3 panel.

Lewis,

Now I got it. I forgot about the shift-3 panel options since I did this once in the C172 and deleted it from memory.

Anyway, I reinstalled the C182 and resolved one of the problems I was having: Autopilot HDG and ALT not working. Now they are, and I will notify the thread I opened about this.

Thank you very much, and congratulations for the plane. I will try to meet you A2A guys at the next Oshkosh.

Oh one last thing, remember that the HSI is also added via the shift+3 panel should you wish to use it.
