Everything works fine but the AP is being flaky for me. None of the buttons function, even with long presses. However, if I press the "z" key the AP awakens and functions as it should (HDG, NAV, APR, ALT ARM, V SPD, everything)... until I turn the AP off. I can turn it off using the AP button on the gauge or the "z" key, but nothing I try will turn it back on.
I have installed the 11_14_14 update as directed in the 182 install instructions, and then I reinstalled 11_14_14 but no difference. Curious thing... on the reinstall the update ran through the inventory of aircraft, found the Cherokee (only other A2A aircraft I have), but not the 182. Is this normal?
Running FSX Gold on Win 7 64 Home. DX10 (Steve's Fixer), ASN (although I'm testing this AP issue with just a FSX weather theme), UTX, GEX, Orbx NA Regions, FS Genisis. i5 3570K @ 4.4, 8 GB 1600 Corsair, MSI GTX 770 2 GB, Saitek Joystick (not using their software at all) with Combat Rudder Pedals. The Cherokee has been perfect since day 1 on this rig.
Made my first cross country from KIDP to KDEN, which is when I found the problem. Hand flew the flight, and the 182 preformed flawlessly in all other regards. Great airplane to fly, and ain't too shabby to look at as well.

Yes, as there is currently no update for the C182. As a first remedy I would suggest to just run the C182 installer again over your current install. I can't see any of your symptoms on the autopilot.lownslo wrote: I have installed the 11_14_14 update as directed in the 182 install instructions, and then I reinstalled 11_14_14 but no difference. Did You try to turn the AP on by pressing and holding the leftmost button in for a couple of seconds:
It will not turn on instantly, but needs to be pressed for more than 1 sec.

When I like to do basic flying, I turn to A2A Aircraft, cause A2A "basic" flying means "complex" procedures.
Re: AP is NONOP
Thanks, Oskar, reinstalling the 182 over the original install seems to have cured it. Working fine now.
