ok, still shimmies, but not as much.
maybe my card is to old.
anyway, not a deal breaker by any means. I can use the tow bar feature.
so I wouldn't worry about it.

Re: Graphic flashing when using tow bar
Hello chaps,
I've just tried out this feature and notice the same thing (FSX DX9 - with and without EZdok active). I use an Nvidia GTX 570 so not the more recent graphics card, but drivers are all up-to-date. No other global add-ons installed.
Cheers,
Nick

Same problem with flashing. Windows 7 64bit, GeForce 780 Nvidia drivers 344.65. No EZdoc or Track IR running

Re: Graphic flashing when using tow bar
Lewis,
I updated my graphics adapter with the latest optional update listed in Window's Update. Unfortunately, it did not fix the problem. In full-screen mode I still get the psychedelic colors and flashing of the entire scene. In windows mode, only the green message bar that says "Towing" flashes.
I am reluctant to update the video driver beyond this point. I am happy with the graphics otherwise and I have seen too many examples online where the newer drivers actually degrade FSX performance in older video cards. If a solution to the towing flashing issue cannot be found, I will just live with it.

Re: Graphic flashing when using tow bar
Just for reference Lewis, On this laptop, I am not experiencing this flashing issue...FSX, UTX USA, no other addons.
Just a baseline to maybe help with figuring out what is conflicting with the animation.

Re: Graphic flashing when using tow bar
If it's any help, the issue is very noticeable on my installation when the on-screen text (shift + Z) is displayed - lots of flashing/ghosting. When the on screen text is not shown, it's more of a shudder/stutter that I experience when using the towing feature. I'll see if I can grab a video...
Cheers,
Nick
Scott - are using built-in graphics on your laptop, or Nvidia graphics card etc?

Re: Graphic flashing when using tow bar
OK can you please update with correct drivers rather than windows drivers which can cause issues if using a dedicated graphics card.

Re: Graphic flashing when using tow bar
Not an issue on my P3DV2.4 installation. Both full screen and windowed remain clear with the tow bar.

Re: Graphic flashing when using tow bar
I'm getting the same problem as well - GTX660TI, Windows 7 64 bit and drivers up to date. I'm also seeing lower frame rates than I get with all my other A2A aircraft and when my cursor goes into main window frames drop substantially, to below 20fps. Not sure if it is related or not and if others with flashing issues are seeing lower frames than other aircraft.

Re: Graphic flashing when using tow bar
I get the same flashing with the towbar. Videocard is EVGA GTX670 w/4gb with latest drivers. I use full screen mode and EZdok. Not using EZdok and not using full screen mode is not an option for me, so I'm hoping a fix for this is in the works. Great plane otherwise.
Update:Ok it does not flash in windowed mode

The chaps are looking into it and we think we know why some of you are experiencing this.

Re: Graphic flashing when using tow bar
I don't get any flashing with the tow bar, but the frame rate absolutely plummets when I use it.

Re: Graphic flashing when using tow bar
No framerate drop, no shimmering at all, neither in Windowed nor in Full Screen Mode. I use a very basic system witout any addons and a relatively old EVGA Geforce 570 GTX 1280 MB, actual driver is 344.60, will eventually update to 344.65
