About some cfg entries

Post by Fly182 »

Hi, I found in aircraft.cfg these entries under [flight_tuning]:

P_factor_on_yaw=0 //0.5 //1.755
Torque on roll=0 //2.856
Gyro precession on yaw=0 //1.0
Gyro precession on pitch=0 //1.0

Are them 0 because these effects are modelled elsewhere (ie xml files)? Or can I test these values after // signs? What behaviour could I expect?

Thank you :D

I guess all this is handled within Accu-Sim so you may ruin everything by modifying the .cfg
Kind Regards

Hello,

yes certain elements are set a specific way for Accu-sim, any change using traditional methods and treating the aircraft like a relaxed realism flight model could have adverse affects,

The tl:dr is you are voiding the warranty on any claims about the aircraft flying realistically/to the numbers/stall characteristics etc etc by changing things.

thanks,
Lewis
